Updated Final Project Memo

My final project is Native Americans on campus today and the legal status of Native American nations in Pennsylvania or the lack thereof.

My in-person interviews will hopefully include Professor Burns (cnb006@bucknell.edu ) and/or Professor Orr (james.orr@bucknell.edu ), who are professors at Bucknell and members of Native American nations.

I also hope to interview Vernese Edghill-Walden (vee001@bucknell.edu ), the vice president of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

If possible, I will interview Sierra Pete M’22 (snp003@bucknell.edu), who is an alumnus and whose culture is Native American. Through research, she is still on campus as a costume studio manager, so hopefully, she will be open to an in-person interview.

For my article on the legal status of Native American nations, I hope to interview Won Choi, Ph.D., MPH (woc222@lehigh.edu), the Interim Director of the Institute for Indigenous Studies at Lehigh University.

I am also considering writing an article on the Haudenosaunee, and would like to interview Sid Jamieson for that.
